Jim
I've got a question about reloaded 12 ga. shells. I'm new to reloading, did my homework and followed a recipe, however, the first 50 shells I loaded and fired has powder burns on the outside of the hull. I'm wondering why this is happening. Here's my recipe:Once fired Win AA+ hulls1-1/8 oz. #7-1/2 shotFed 209A primerRed DotRem Fig8 wadsThe Red Dot is fairly old, from the early 80's. Is it the powder or are the wads not sealing the powder correctly, or something else?Any help would be appreciated.Jimski
wwillson
Jim,This is a hull I reloaded probably 10+ times. You can see that the more you reload the more powder residue the hull will have, it's perfectly normal. Happy Reloading,Wayne
