wwillson
It says on the website that "Leupold did not assume the Redfield warranty", which means if you have a problem with a Redfield scope, call someone else as Leupold won't help you. That's pretty disappointing.Wayne
steves
Is it going to be Leopoulds Made in China name brand?
RLH70
Is it going to be Leopoulds Made in China name brand? Nope, it's going to be made in Leupold's factory here in the good ol' USA. MSRP is $149, so the street price should be a little less than that.

Moe
I just put together a new Remington 700 SPS in .300 WSM. I bought a new laminate stock from Stocky's Stocks, bedded it, and topped it of with a Redfield 4x12. I had my local Smith recrown the barrel and add a VIAS muzzle break. The Redfield gave me above average resolution for a $209 scope and it shoots less than 1 MOA. Plus, you can't beat the lifetime warranty on the Redfield. This won't be the last Redfield I buy. wwillson
Moe,Good to hear you like the Redfield. I've wondered how their quality is and have considered one for a rifle I have that desperately needs optics!Wayne
Moe
I like it so much that when I go to Wyoming next year for deer and antelope I am buying a brand new Redfield 2-7, leaving it in the box and using it for a back-up scope just in case. For a $135, it's a bargain. Now, if they would only make them in 30mm.......um.
Tom
I just purchased a Redfield 4-12x40 for my K31. My out-of-the-box impressions are that it's well made, the fit and finish are excellent. The only plastic on the scope are the windage and elevation knobs. It's a very basic, no frills scope. It has a nicer fit and finish than the more expensive Mueller 4-16x50 AO I purchased just prior to the Redfield. The Millet scope rings that I recieved to mount the redfield on the other hand...one of the threads in the base was not threaded correctly. I have to call Millett tomorrow.
