wwillson
We are visiting out son at Mizzou this weekend. We've been here several times in the last year and have only ever had VZW 3G, which as you know is pretty slow. Today about 1:00 I noticed my phone said "4G LTE", which it always says at home, but has never had here. As I write this I'm enjoying the increased speed of LTE in CoMo! I believe I witnessed the turn-up of LTE here today.OK, so I'm in the business, it seems exciting to me...Wayne

BarryinIN
I haven't heard the Kim Komnando Show in about a month, which is the only place I get any tech knowledge, so I'm rather clueless too. What does LTE stand for?
wwillson
LTE page on Wikipedia In my opinion it's the first cellular data protocol that makes application speed usable on mobile devices. It likes power (battery), but man is it fast.I have sustained 36Mb/s down to my phone.Wayne
BarryinIN
I'm still getting over thespeed increase going from the Blackberry to the iPhone. I don't know if I could handle that too.
wwillson
Once you use LTE, you just can't use a phone without..Wayne
BarryinIN
We got new iPhone 5s a couple days ago. My wife says "It's faster". I don't see how it would be different. I looked, and sure enough it says LTE in the corner. It was faster. We get home, and it seemed no different. No LTE at home. Oh well, we have it when Ma and Pa Kettle go to town.
